Since his loss to NWA National Heavyweight Champion Damien Wayne in March, Cueball Carmichael has assembled one of the most powerful factions ever to hit professional wrestling. It was widely known that Carmichael and Lou Marconi have been friends for many years but unknown to insiders, was the relationship developing behind the scenes between Carmichael and Pat Cusick. Carmichael had seemingly inked a deal with Marconi and Cusick at “Battle at the Brigade” to take Wayne out if he did not succeed in taking the NWA National Heavyweight Championship away from Damien Wayne.

At that moment, ‘The Fold’ was born…

Over the last couple of months, Carmichael has promised to change the face of NWA World Wide Wrestling if his demand to meet Damien Wayne in a steel cage was not met. To date NWA World Wide Wrestling owner Johnny Lightning has declined to book the match and the National Wrestling Alliance has not agreed to sanction such a match between Wayne and Carmichael.

Carmichael’s demands have become increasingly more intense and it seems now he is following through with his promise to change the face of NWA World Wide and to make the National Wrestling Alliance itself stand up and take notice. 

Carmichael’s ringside presence certainly had an effect on  the outcome of the NWA Eastern States Heavyweight Championship match between the Human Predator and Lou Marconi. Marconi got the win and Carmichael secured the highly anticipated resurrection of the NWA title for ‘The Fold’.

Later in the night, ‘The Fold’ seized the opportunity to get Damien Wayne’s attention as they stormed the ring following Wayne’s pin fall win over Dirty Hector, now with increased numbers. Sean ‘The Geordie Bulldog’ Denny has made his affiliation with ‘The Fold’ known.

With this addition, Carmichael now has three champion caliber wrestlers in his stable and they already hold NWA gold in just a matter of a few short weeks. Bruno Sanmartino once said Carmichael was truly the dirtiest player in the game. One has to wonder just how dirty the game may now become…
